Texans get RB David Johnson and a 2nd this year, 4th next year.

 

I may be wrong on some details but think thats mostly accurate.

Makes the Giants trade for OBJ look way better. Giants got a 1st, 3rd, former 1st rounder Jabril Peppers, and Kevin Zeitler for OBJ and Olivier Vernon (who they were gonna release)

Definitely interesting to know why the Texans traded him? Taking away one of their young QBs main weapons. It’s not like they are saving to much money either, since they are taking on Johnson’s contract. I wonder if behind the scenes Hopkins wanted out or something?

One thing I heard is Hopkins was getting ready to ask for a contract renegotiation which was likely going to lead to a holdout.

 

Second, I think wide receivers are heading the way of running backs and becoming devalued in the NFL.
