I haven't seen any update pictures for Cooper, but per their original announcement about the turf:

Final renderings of our new field turf. Weather permitting, construction is set to begin around the first of January and conclude in July.

Usually between $3/4 million and $1 million. I'm assuming Boone County Schools were offering the whole deal to replace the field surface at Ryle and install new turf systems at Boone, Conner and Cooper as a whole package with the intent of getting a deal for "buying in bulk" haha.

If you add in irrigation (you DO have to water turf fields), then you're looking at more cost than the price above.

Not that there's anything wrong with this look...but the new field looks significantly better, if you ask me.

I can’t completely tell from the picture of the new field at Ryle, but do you know if it has soccer lines? I’d assume all of the Boone Co. high schools would play soccer on the fields too.

It doesn't look like there are soccer lines on it now, but I'm assuming the drone photo was taken before they had started cutting in the lines.

Turf installers lay out all of the large areas of green and the endzones first, then they come back and cut out the details from those areas and infill them with things like the yard lines, hashes, endzone and midfield graphics, and field markings for soccer and/or lacrosse.

In the new turf picture, it looks like the cuts are there for soccer at both of the eight yard lines.

Agreed. I think the black writing in the end zones and black all around the field in out-of-bounds territory gives it a sharper look.

If you look closely at these more recent pictures, you can see the arcs for the soccer field.

 

 

Looks like they're getting a later start on Cooper - plus they're dealing with rock. (There's a concrete saw in two of those pictures.)
