If this is true and our local news was reporting basically the same thing (all but a done deal) I thought that this would be the case. How many times have we heard a coach say that he wasn't interested in leaving where he was at and then going shortly after? One other thing, who can blame the man for going to a tradition like Alabama PLUS making 3 TIMES the $$$$. Report I heard was 7yr. / 21 mil.:eek:

I haven't followed real close but in an interview I saw with Rodriquez, he said "he" hadn't talked with any 'Bama official about the coaching position but I understand from others, his agent had been.

 

The timing, is always one of the negatives when coaches leave and especially, during a Bowl preparation like WVU is in.

I just saw on espn that the deal reported Bama offered Rodriquez was 6yr. / 12mil. I originally had heard 7yr./21mil. Also was reported that Bama would pay WVU the $2mil. buyout on his contract.

I saw that earlier as well. I honestly felt the deal would be more than $2 mil/year. I wonder what else he would get?
