December 8, 200619 yr I really wish he could be a good NBA player, but I not sure how he will fit in the NBA. I think he will be on a team, but I dont know if he will ever play much...I know Im waiting to see how J.J. Reddick does in the NBA, because them two are alot alike... The only thing about them are the same is that they shoot extremely well. Other than that I don't see any other comparisons.
December 8, 200619 yr Yeah Tubby is the only one who didn't see it, I mean that is why he had tons of offers from major universities... HAHAHA U of L and Tennessee??????????????? Pretty big and if you saw him and didn't think he was going to be good then you my friend are CRAZY!!!!!

December 8, 200619 yr I'm pretty sure UofL didn't offer. I may be wrong, but I don't think they did. They'd pulled it because Chris was waiting for KY.
December 9, 200619 yr They'd pulled it because Chris was waiting for KY. That's true they offered him but later removed it.
December 9, 200619 yr They'd pulled it because Chris was waiting for KY. Didn't they pull it because they didn't want him to play football and he did anyways...Either way though they still must not have thought he would be this good because they wouldn't have pulled his schlorship then. If they thought he would do half as good as he did now they wouldn't have pulled it. Tennessee was the only major program to give him the opportunity. I mean if every knew he was going to be so great, every coach in America would have wanted him. Chris is just a player that has done alot better than most college coaches ever thought he would do, and that is not CRAZY at all for me saying that...
December 9, 200619 yr Can he make it in the league? I think so, but it will be as a role player, his size will limit him but his shooting could lead to a few nice checks.
December 9, 200619 yr I think most will agree that Lofton will get an opportunity at the next level. The debate I believe is going to be draft position, floor position, playing time, years in the league, etc. I cant see him being a first rounder as a 6'1 two guard. He has to learn to play the point. If not, he's not going to get the PT and will be out of the league in a few years.
December 10, 200619 yr Most college guys come into the league without knowing how to play D. Why? 2-3 zones, inferior competition. You are completely off base on your view of defense in the NBA. Ask Adam Morrison which level plays more defense. Ok first of all are you trying to say that most college teams play a 2-3 zone?!?!? Because if you are I guess I am not watching the same college basketball that you are. Second of all I think that hte competiton that Morrison was facing (night it and night out) in college was a little different then what Lofton faces in the SEC, or for example Memphis (one of the most athletic teams in the country) So I would say that Morrison wasnt used to the same kind of Defenese that Lofton will be used to by the time he leaves UT. Sure NBA guys are stronger, bigger, faster but I dont knwo how much they strive to play good defense...I mean look at the Suns/Nets game the other night for example!

Did you not watch the Maui invitational last year, and how much Morrison was scoring at will against the good teams. Gonzaga yeah they play in a easy conference, but last year and this year they have made up for it by playing a pretty decent OOC schedule...

Did you not see I said night and night out, then i mentioned the SEC, so I was obviously talking about the conference games.
