Not really in a sense, in college at least they play defense and the pull back 3 is challenged, in the pros, no one plays defense until the playoffs begin.

I'm not sure, but I think that would be a first for a Mason County graduate. Deron Feldhaus played quite a bit of overseas ball but didn't play in the NBA.

It wasn't just Mason County. Anyone that saw C-Lo play on more than a few occasions knew he'd be a good college player(except Tubby). Granted not many from the state or from Mason expected him to be quite as successful as he has been so far, but I knew he'd be pretty good.

Every time. It amazes me people think the greatest athletes in the world dont play D? Anybody ever watch a Spurs game? Bruce Bowen is relentless, Ron Artest, and the rest of the league.

Why can't "tweeners" typically make it in the league? They can't guard anyone can they? I've been to several NBA games and the speed, even in the regular season, is VERY fast. Yes I honestly think they play hard on defense. They don't play the same way. An easy shot in the NBA is an easy shot. You don't see the "hard" (intentionals) because in the NBA they're against the rules. The NBA protects it's players/investments.

To add to this, who can Chris guard in the league when the average two guard is probably 6'4 or 6'5.

I'm not comparing them, I'm just saying that it isn't unprecedented. True, there have been more flops than success stories, but it could happen.

I dont think Iverson was ever doubted because he is such a freak of nature. Lofton, not so much.

You are right, they were college teams. But college teams play MORE DEFENSE than Pro teams. They play harder and put out more effort on defense, .
