December 7, 200619 yr I think he could be a 1st round pick(after next season) strictly on his reputation as a shooter and scorer, but as far as his minutes i'm not sure and his height will definitly hurt his chances of having a long career in the league but I can see a team taking a chance on him. He should make plenty of money in the league though, I believe 1st round picks are guarenteed a contract.
December 7, 200619 yr Listen, all those games last year were not against pro teams...no matter how you spin it, it was in college. It is a TOTALLY different game then the pro game. He may make the league for a year or two, but his professional basketball career will be in Europe, with Patrick Sparks.... Where is Patrick Sparks playing?
December 7, 200619 yr Again folks, don't count Chris out or doubt him! Chuck Hayes was said to be a D-Leaguer or Euro Leaguer and he's a starting forward at 6'4" in the NBA for a really good team! So I think CHris will be just fine!
December 7, 200619 yr Lofton will be in the NBA for a little while at least. He's small, but if he can improve his ball handling and passing skills then I see no reason why he wouldn't be on an NBA roster. He's simply too good of a shooter.

December 7, 200619 yr Chris will HAVE to play the PG at the next level. He could be a nice backup PG in the league, he just has to develop that part of his game. If he does develop that part, I truly believe he could make some noise in the league. If he relies on his shot and scoring ability and tries to make it as a 2 guard, he will probably be on some teams inactive list for a while until he does develop.

I wouldn't expect him to be a starter or even a sixth man type. However, in the right situation and with the right work ethic and attitude, he could be a valuable role player for some time in the NBA. That's just my two cents.

But college teams play MORE DEFENSE than Pro teams. They play harder and put out more effort on defense, which means he will be able to get his shot off with ease.

Guys who can't play defense typically don't play in the league.
