Very simply, are the presents that Santa brings and puts under your tree...are they wrapped or not? (For this discussion, we are not including anything that may be placed in stockings.)

I grew up with Santa's presents always being NOT wrapped. It made it very easy to see what you got when you got up that morning. It's been the same way with our son.

However, after a discussion with a couple of co-workers the past few days, I'm beginning to think I'm in the minority.

We always had Santa presents in their own separate Santa wrapping paper.

When I was young, presents from Santa were not wrapped. Now they are.

Yes, wrapped.

No capitalization.

Presents from Santa were wrapped , but he must have wrapped them while at our house because I always noticed he used the same wrapping paper as my mom and dad. I guess he just ran out and had to borrow wrapping paper from them. Either that or he just used their wrapping paper to keep his cost down.

When my kids were small, Santa used to leave footprints from the fireplace to the tree and back. They vacuumed up easily and smelled like carpet fresh, but they were black...not carpet fresh white.

Presents from mom and dad were wrapped. Present or two from Santa himself were never wrapped.

They never were wrapped.

We'd go to to my grandparents' on my dad's side for Christmas Eve every year, and guess what...Santa chose MY FAMILY'S HOUSE in Fort Mitchell, KY to start ALL of his Christmas deliveries every year. He'd start at mom & dad's house, put everything out, and then he'd actually call my parents at the Christmas Eve party we were attending to let them know he was heading out.

Pretty awesome, huh?

Wrapped.......and if I'm not mistaken stored in the attic well before Christmas Eve.

All presents were always wrapped. I've never heard of presents from "Santa" not being wrapped.

So, do the kids have to wait until mom and dad are around to open them? Or just look at the tags and go at it?

Man, those elves in the workshop do not have time for wrapping every freaking toy -- did you learn NOTHING as a child? :taz:

Gifts were opened Christmas morning once Mom woke up in my house growing up. Dad always slept in on Christmas. Santa used different wrapping paper for each kid.

In my house, Santa used to come while My wife and kids were at Church for Christmas Eve mass. I worked in Retail, and always worked on Christmas Eve, so I didn’t go to church. Then gifts were opened once they got home from church.

Unemployment is very low at the North Pole. Santa has plenty of help.
