December 8, 20196 yr At the end of the day one week prior to the final rankings. The committee viewed Georgia as then 4th playoff team and LSU blew them out. So yes they probably will look at that better than OSU trailing by 14 at half to a team who already and three loses before tonight. The committee had already shown they have LSU and OSU very close by how they flip flop them. So yes how today went very well could cause them to flip flop the two again. It is usually based on the now and the now shows LSU getting better with their defense playing much better the last two weeks. While OSU has looked more vulnerable than they they’ve a few weeks ago. So not crazy at all to think LSU may jump back over them. Well, the last three games OSU played two top-10 and a top-15 as opponents, while LSU had one top-5 opponent and two other non-ranked opponents (a 7-5 A&M and a 2-10 Arkansas)...so yeah, I'd expect OSU's opponents to have more of a chance to score. That's why they were ranked where they were. Look, I'm not dismissing what LSU did to Georgia today. But it was one game, that's all.
December 8, 20196 yr If the most top 25 wins doesn’t matter, why isn’t Clemson in contention for #1? They’ve won like 28 in a row and have looked good lately.

Seriously, they almost scored as many as LSU and OSU combined today. So, they should be #1. But, it's a shame they gave up 17 points to a 23rd-ranked Virginia. Guess their defense isn't as dominant as we thought. I'd drop them to #4.

December 8, 20196 yr Justin Fields: 50 total tds (40 pass) with 1 int in 13 games. True sophomore. First year starter. Wasn’t here last year learning Day’s system. We’ll take him.

One game was all it took for OSU to jump LSU after OSU beat Penn State. So not hard to think this one game will be enough to put LSU back above OSU.
December 8, 20196 yr 27-0 run in the second half to win the B10 championship after 1 bad half in 13 games. In your book the extra 1 more top 25 win for OSU means nothing? I’m saying what I think the committee will do. I personally think LSU is better. However, the committee has shown they think LSU and OSU are pretty close to each other. So if they were willing to move OSU over LSU even though LSU won the week they moved OSU above them. It is not hard to think they will move LSU above OSU after this week. When the committee views two teams pretty closely, and one team LSU looking like they are even getting better with the defense stepping up now too. It is not hard to think the committee will make the change. Good thing is we will find out in less than twelve Hours. You really can’t go wrong with LSU or OSU at one. For that matter as you mentioned really couldn’t go wrong if they shock everyone and go with Clemson as number one.
December 8, 20196 yr Justin Fields has 40 passing touchdowns and one interception. Players that have had 40 touchdowns with just one interception in a season since 2000: - Justin Fields - no one else

Buckeyes have beaten three consecutive top-10 teams by double digits, all three non-conference opponents played for conference championship and they entered the weekend No. 1.

December 8, 20196 yr Ohio State has won 15 straight games vs a ranked opponent. That’s pretty impressive. Who was their last loss to?
December 8, 20196 yr To diverge just a bit from the seeding discussion, the second half was whe Wisconsin we all know and love. Just good enough to tantalize you into thinking that they’re elite, but ultimately a paper tiger that gets exposed.

Just good enough to tantalize you into thinking that they’re elite, but ultimately a paper tiger that gets exposed. Yup, Wisconsin is who we thought they were. They played hard and well, but just never had the horses to compete in this game. OSU could/should have beaten them by 40. Wisconsin was lucky to keep it close as long as they did, being as one dimensional as they are.
