December 1, 20196 yr Would've thought for sure that the Browns would get the W today. Happy for Benny!
December 2, 20196 yr That's a crushing loss for the Browns. As a Browns fan, I have to say you are right. There is no excuse for this loss. You can say Pittsburgh was out for revenge, but Cleveland has the better team, especially considering the Steelers played their 3rd string QB. I do not think this Browns coaching staff has figured out how to win. Tomlin and his staff out-coached the Browns staff. I would like to think that Kitchens is not dwelling on the brawl from two weeks ago, but he was seen wearing a shirt saying, "Pittsburgh started it." I know the story is that his daughters bought it for him and wanted him to wear it, but he is an NFL Head Coach. You forget about last week and play the game in front of you. He has to set the standard for the team. The HC wearing a shirt like that communicates that it's okay for the players to also waste energy on the past. When you do that, you aren't ready for the present. Coaching: when they were down in the third quarter by a TD, the Browns quit running the ball--only six carries in the second half. Mayfield started the game 10 for 12 passing. The rest of the game he was 8-20 with 5 sacks. That's what the Browns did to Rudolph in the previous meeting. Do you think running the ball would have helped to take pressure off of Mayfield? A growing criticism heard in Cleveland as this season has progressed is that the Browns are not playing as a team but as a group of individuals. That was painfully clear on Sunday.
December 2, 20196 yr Love Freddie Kitchens out wearing a "Pittsburgh Started It" sweatshirt last week. Always refreshing to have your supposed team leader being the ring leader of the circus. My gut says Kitchens has about four weeks left as an NFL head coach.
