Which makes the combine kinda doubtful IMHO. That said if he can go he should go to the NFL. But I would love to see him back, if he is then I think we could be headed to back to back BCS bowls!:dancingpa

If Mike can get back into the shape he was at the begining of this season, then I wouldn't question this one bit. How many on the lines will be returning?

December 3, 200619 yr If Mike can get back into the shape he was at the begining of this season, then I wouldn't question this one bit. How many on the lines will be returning? We lose Okoye and Anderson on the defensive line. It's tough to predict who'll start next year because lately Louisville has been playing Okoye outside on some downs and Earl Heyman as a nose tackle. Confuses the heck out of me, I can't imagine how opposing linemen feel. Peanut Whitehead and Heyman are the only two locks to start. Then you have Adrian Grady, Willie Williams, LT Walker and Aundre Henderson as top DTs and Brandon Cox and Jonathan Holston at DE. Not to mention another special player may be added to our DE roster, but that's not official yet. I would start: DE- Peanut DT- Williams DT- Grady DE- Heyman With the other guys in rotation. Offensive line loses two solid starters, Renardo Foster and Kurt Quarterman. We lost two last year as well. The returning line will be anchored well by Eric Wood, a genuine All-American prospect, and will be joined by George Bussey and Danny Barlowe as returning starters. I think Breno Giacomini will be starting at tackle next year, not sure which side. The other guard position will be up for grabs, Louisville has a good JUCO lineman coming in, and some solid backups that whould grow between now and next August. Part of being a big program is replacing guys every year. The lines did a great job of replacing the same number of stars this year that will be expected next year, and actually got better.

Wake is a 'team' team, no stars like our old pal Barclay was for them in the past. A better defensive team than offensive. If there was a comparable team on Louisville's schedule, I'd pick Cincy. Lots of people have been saying they're like Rutgers, but they aren't. They don't have Rutger's switching defense blitzing, and they don't have Ray Rice. Without those things, Rutgers isn't who they are. Much more comparable to Cincy IMO. With Brohm back on his 'A' game, Louisville's the better team, and it would be reflected in Vegas pretty strongly I might imagine.
