Great season for the Cards. It's awesome to have a KY team in a BCS game.

 

They showed that offsides during the WV/Rutgers game and it just hit me how close UL was from actually playing in the NC...

I'm sorry Card fans but I was thinking about Rutgers and how close they were and everything...and you people haven't said anything about their program. OK you backed into the BCS bowl game thanks to a team losing in three OTs on the road. I'm glad y'all are going instead of Rutgers, but...Oh I'm done.

U of L earned it..Rutgers had their chance, but couldn't get it done....they have 2 losses in the conference U of L had 1....

Can you smell the hate? Why not just let the U of L fans enjoy their moment in the sun. They have a good team. The Big East was so competitive this year, you had to know it would take U of L, WVU, and Rutgers on the last day of the season to decide a champion. I'm only surprised Cincy wasn't in the mix yesterday.

I thought backing in was when you lose your last game before the playoffs (or bowl.) USC would be an example, their lost yesterday sent the Pac-10 into a tie for first with Cal, and USC goes on strength of a tiebreaker after a loss. Louisville didn't do that, they finished on a tear and won the Big East Championship outright. They didn't entirely control their own destiny, but only one BCS team did this year- Ohio State. Everyone else lost at least one league game, and so relied on someone else losing a game to be the champions.

Congratulations to UL; and to have done all this without Bush and with injury to Brohm makes it all the more incredible. Good luck to the Cardinals.

Gametime, they also lost to the neers in OT on the road after beating #3 Louisville which kept the Cards from playing the Buckeyes.

Very rarely can you say that one play changed your entire season and it be true, but I think in this case its very true...Too bad.

Get off of this "Backed into" garbage. Louisville got a BCS bid because they won their conference. No more no less.
