Yes. Nick was the tailback the previous two seasons.

Colonels charge past Purples for sixth title

 

LOUISVILLE - When Covington Catholic reaches the football finals, it knows how to seal the deal.

 

The Colonels ran their record in state title games to 6-0 by blowing past Bowling Green 27-8 to win the Class 3A crown at cold and windy Papa John's Cardinal Stadium last night.

 

CovCath won five titles under longtime coach Lynn Ray, the last coming in 1997. The Colonels returned to the winner's circle last night under second-year coach John Rodenberg.

 

"It feels super," Rodenberg said. "When you have 17 seniors starting, you expect to do well. We jumped on their backs, and they took us to the state finals."

How did their JV fair this year? I know they beat Highlands JV in almost the exact scenario the varsity beat us the night before. Highlands freshman did beat CCH freshman and have done so the last three years. It will be interesting to see what CCH reloads with.
