I don't know that anyone would "tell you off" but Cooper's offense tonight featured numerous different players, was way more effective and efficient than Highlands offense, and had a ton of different formations. The problem Cooper had tonight was finishing drives, not being vanilla on offense.

 

Whatever problem you have with Cooper's staff seems to be a you problem. I didn't see anything tonight that I would label as predictable but you keep grinding that axe.

I am sure the Cooper coaches would love to know how you have decided to support them all of the sudden instead of question every single thing that they do.

I'm just curious on what you considered predictable. It seemed to keep one of the best defenses in the state off balance. I'm not sure if any that Cooper went 3 and out on. Cooper had close to 300 yards offense. Multiple guys besides Lee was involved in the offense tonight. I believe Cooper had a freshman receiver have over 10 receptions and over 100 yards tonight. So I'm just curious on what you considered predictable tonight. As it seemed to me they mixed it up really well and kept Highlands defense on their toes. Just turnovers was the biggest difference in this one. Then on defense Cooper basically gave up 2 plays all night. So I'm not bashing, im just curious to hear more on what you considered predictable tonight.

I don't know the exact stats, but I heard someone say it was like Cooper with 270 yards offense and Highlands around 200.

I am hearing Highlands ran less than 35 plays.

I have no idea. I know their 2 tds came on long runs. A 30 yard td run after a Cooper turnover and a 70 yard td run. Other than that they didn't really move the ball much.

Cooper players battled. They played hard and should have walked away with the win. Take care of the ball. One of the only games that they put together consistent offensive drives. Moved the chains more tonight then they have all year. Defense was good. A couple plays that they wish they had back, but overall was good.

 

The bottom line is Cooper needs to win games like this. District games and local rivalries are games we need to know how to win. Period. 3 loses to Conner in two seasons. Highlands and Ryle, are games that need to be won. Conner, Highlands, and Ryle do not have any more talent than Cooper. It could be argued there is more talent on Cooper in more positions than most teams in the area.

 

This needs addressed. Too much talent and hard work to continually walk away from rival games with another loss.

Perhaps the boys were intimidated at the fact they were playing Highlands...

 

Something is obviously wrong if Cooper out played Highlands in ever aspect of the game but didn’t get the win.

 

It’s not unheard of but again I wasn’t at the game due to the fact that I was in the finals of the pumpkin carving contest in my neighborhood.

I wish Cooper's coaches would get off this website and learn how to coach a game.

I think Highlands is down this year, but one thing I’ve liked about them is they hit hard. I don’t know if they go full contact in practice, but they sure look like it. He’s a beast.

So the referee didn’t say “ 15 yard penalty on #1 on Defense for hitting too hard” ?
