Pujols shows not so nice side. Says he was robbed of MVP.

That would be Pat Burrell. BA .258, 80 runs, 29 HR's, and 95 RBI's, and

Jeff Conine .280 BA, 11 Runs, 1 HR, and 17 RBI's.

In september they had Burrell batting 6th behind Conine, but in July they had Rowand batting 5th behind Howard. That was before the injury I think.

I was going to research the whole season, but my eyes hurt. So I went with the last two months of the season. :D

I guess someones Spanish is off.

At least he apologized.

If there is one guy that I wouldn't want to pitch too it would be Pujols and I like him BUT....

#1 He didn't even play a full year!

#2 Howard doesn't have the weapons around him that Pujols has so his argument is weak!

#3 Cry me a river you big baby! Another Pro Athlete that I lose a little respect for because he acted like a baby! I still like him but don't respect him as much as I did before.

Not to make excuses, but I can see his frustration. Look at the numbers he has put up over his career and he has won one MVP award. That's the luck of playing behind Bonds and Howard having a monster stretch in late August and September.

Your career numbers doesn't matter in a MVP race. Just a single season so if he is frustrated over having those career numbers and only 1 MVP then maybe he should rethink some things!

Honestly, I think the guy is hiding behind the language barrier thing. He doesnt go on and explain what he was trying to say. What other way could he go with the way he was talking about things. He doesnt get a free pass from me.

Reminds me of Sammy Sosa using an interpretor before congress when he never needed one in Chicago.

1. That would make his arguement stronger. He missed between 15-20 games and still had numbers comparable and better in some categories than Howard.

2. What weapons did Pujols had that were that much better than the Phillies?

3. Yes, he is crying, I can't argue with that one.

One more reason for me not to like Fat Albert.....:D The other is because he is a Cardinal. I think he is a terrific ball player and it was close between him and Howard and the right guy won.

:thumb:

These Cardinal weapons are a mystery to me. Rolen had a horrible second half and battled injuries. Everyone knew it. Edmonds is at least 60 years old. The sticks in Philly with Conine and Burrell are similiar to what ST. Louis had. If anything, the guys that batted around Pujols benefitted and with their numbers this year(that benefitted from Pujols) they apparently aren't very good.

He led Howard in all but Hits, Home Runs, and RBIs. Pujols deserved to be the MVP.

And here I thought hits, HRs and RBIs were pretty important...
