Hey, at least one of UK's basketball teams are in the top 25.

If healthy, I'd have to say UL. But since they aren't I'll go with WKU...

Honestly, yes. Remember its the same team that had UCLA on the ropes before they gave it away. I think that took everything out of them and weren't ready for a third place game. We shall learn more about them Saturday afternoon.

The UCLA game is the only factor to me. As of today UK is best.

WKU might be the best in thier division but they could not keep up with either louisville or Uk.

Your sports opinions are usually spot on, but that loss to Dayton is tough to forget.

And no matter how hard HSSB tries to make it seem otherwise, that's the bottom line. :thumb:

 

Kentucky & Louisville, while not great teams this year, are still major division 1 basketball teams with major talent. Western, any way you slice it, is still a mid-major team (although a darn good one). In a best of 10 series, UK & UL would win at least 75% of the games. That's not to say they'd be undefeated, though.

 

Valiant effort(s), though.

UofL and Western may be playing up to their potential a little more, but UK still has the better team. There is some serious talent on that team even if they're not giving 100% most of the time.

UK isn't that great, but UoL is down and WKU is up but "up" means nearly equal with UoL and UK.

How quickly everyone forgets about Wichita St., Missouri St., George Mason, Bucknell, Pacific, Creighton, Gonzaga, etc. Fellas, the gap between Major and Mid-Major is getting very small. Very, very small. If your argument is simply UK and UL are "Major" and WKU is "mid-major", and that's that, than you're short-sighted.

 

Now, if you think WKU is simply not as good...that's quite possibly accurate; we'll see. If Tricky Ricky would't have made dropping WKU and backing out of that contract his first priority at UL, we may have definitive evidence. I haven't seen UK rush to schedule WKU since the defeat they took in Rupp v. the 'Toppers. Maybe those folks know more than we do.

If its about mid-majors getting better and knocking off larger schools, fine.

 

I answered the question that asks who is better. Mid-major or not, they do not have the depth nor big men to beat UK.
