With the first pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select....the Clemson Tigers.

Too bad that Lawrence won’t be coming out after this season.

Monday Night Football, Atlanta’s punter has a groin injury and is punting the ball as far as Huber did today!!

C’mon guys, all the reaching on tackles (using the term loosely!), getting blown off the ball on the off and def sides both, yeah, we can blame it on the coaches and scheme, just like we did with Marvin but that’s what high school parents do, time to quit using that excuse and own up! I remember watching a Larry Bird special, he said in his rookie year he was livid when they lost their first game and an old vet told him, “take it easy rook, there are no wins or loses on your paycheck”, seems we’ve got several guys take that attitude, I’m not saying everybody but if can say you don’t think any of those guys quit today you’re being very naive in my judgement, we had several just picking up their paycheck with no wins or losses on it!

I agree to disagree. I had the Bengals bench right in front of me, and saw how mad they were that the game was going that way and wasn't able to stop them defensively or do much offensively. The just physically got beat today, and who know as this year goes on. This game may make more sense as to why it was so lopsided depending how the 49ers do.

LOL! Could also go up, people might want to drink heavily to watch this team!!

They gotta be there for that to happen haha!

Every time that I have drank heavily to solve a problem, the problem has still been there when I sobered up.:taz:

I started reading this thread and had honestly forgot that Marvin Lewis wasn't coaching them anymore. Of course, you couldn't tell by the thread's content.

It says a lot about last week game the 49ers spent two weeks away from home on the east cost and put 41 on the Bengals and had 3 points at home vs a defense that is giving up 30.5 points per game this year.

All it says is last weeks game was flat out horrible for whatever reason. Either a bad matchup, just played horrible, or all the above. So far the Bengals defense hasnt been that bad for 2 of the 3 games so far. Even today's game the defense is the only reason why they had a shot to win, even though they were on the field all game because of a horrible offense.

Well I think what I mentioned in the second post I quoted here ended up being true. It very much makes sense now why it was so lopsided. The 49ers were just that good and physically have been pounding the majority of teams they have played this year. They are a solid, physical team on both sides of the ball and can make a team look like they are not trying because they are able to physically manhandle their opponents up front.

It is always interesting to look back at these old threads and read them with hindsight. I still feel good about what I posted here. I wonder if other posters here still agree with their comments?
