I hardly get dessert at a restaurant, but BJ's used to have a S'mores Pizookie that was fantastic. Haven't been there in I don't know how long, but I would always make room for that. Delicious.

 

So what restaurant dessert is your favorite?

I've always liked Longhorn's Caramel Apple Goldrush - Fresh baked pie crust packed with sweet, juicy Fuji apples, topped with vanilla bean ice cream, and drizzled with Jim Beam caramel and raspberry sauce.

 

Believe it or not, the coconut cream pie at Blue Licks SRP is the first that comes to mind.

Ricotta Doughnuts at Sotto in Cincinnati. Just unreal. That place also served me the best Tiramisu I've ever had. Strong argument for best restaurant in town.

If you're crazy about meringue, the mile-high pies at Patti's 1800s Settlement (Grand Rivers) are hard to beat.

I don't think I've eaten dessert in a restaurant in 10+ years, just not my thing, if still hungry or hankering for something sweet after a meal, we'll stop and get milkshakes on the way home.

 

However, so I can try and participate, the three desserts that jump out at me from memory (well, two from memory and one that my kids LOVE and beg for):

 

1. The strawberry pie at Frisch's

2. The key lime pie at the old Brass Lantern in Aurora, KY

3. My kids choice, bar none: the deep fried doughnuts at Smoky Bones.

Hardly ever go to Smoky Bones, but I might now. Didn't know they had that.

I'm not a "desserts at restaurants" kind of person either, but the buttermilk crunch at Mark's Feed Store in Louisville is pretty solid. It's a sundae made with chunks of Mark's buttermilk pie, vanilla ice cream, nuts, and caramel sauce.

I don't like much of anything from applebees, but they did well with the blondie.

We haven't been in years, but the Chess Pie at Golden Corral is always on point!
