July 7, 20197 yr USA on the attack all day, I never felt like the Netherlands had any forward momentum. True. Netherlands goalie made some very good saves in the first half. US had 9 shots on goal to 1 for the Netherlands. Still, with soccer generally being a low scoring sport, a team can control a match and still lose. It was 0-0 60 minutes in. Anything can happen. I have seen many soccer matches where it looked like the better team lost or tied.
July 8, 20197 yr In a fun coincidence, Rose Lavelle played some club soccer with the Dayton Dutch Lions.
