5 Star OG commits to UK

Featured Replies

They did after he came to camp a few years ago, see post #8.

When you said it did not "materialize", I thought that might have meant they backed off the kid.

Rogers will enroll in January 2020 and be ready for Spring Football too.

Oh I see, sorry I read it wrong. Yeah that’s basically what happened, he made multiple visits to OSU but from what I was told communications stopped. Good player and great pickup for UK.

Rogers tweeted out that he has decided to take another official visit. Although he didn't say where most think it's Alabama. This could be a bad sign for Kentucky. He can't sign for 6 and a half months.

Not that worried about it. Last official he can take.

Take it for what it’s worth but I had someone tell me his recruiting began after he committed.

He can take up to five. So he can take one more after Alabama if he wanted. Kentucky, Georgia and Tennessee are the ones he's officially visited.

I found this:

The NCAA allows a recruit to make only five visits to Division I and Division II schools. Official visits to DIII schools are unlimited. The school can pay for the following for you and your parents/guardians: transportation to and from the campus, lodging throughout your visit, three meals per day and three tickets to a home sports event.

Plus he could take unofficials.

Vince Marrow tweeted this out in regards to the situation.

It’s ashamed some schools who are supposed to be traditional football schools are starting to recruit negative against us lol it’s not going to work and you know who you are. Go Big Blue.

It'd be awesome if he ends up at Kentucky, but unfortunately I just can't trust that he will.

Like I said after his elaborate signing day ceremony, if he doesn't end up at UK he's an absolute tool and they don't need him. With that said, I don't think he backs out of his commitment.

Alabama is a real threat here. UK will be recruiting Rogers up until he signs.

Agreed.

Agreed.

I do not believe it’s only the kid deciding.
