November 24, 200619 yr Heytvelt is a player. He has been hurt the last couple of years and hasn't gotten to show his skills, but the kid can flat out play and is primed to really raise his NBA stock this year. Even without Morrison, Batista and Knight, this Gonzaga team is very good. They have a very capable PG in Raivio and a great Freshman coming off the bench named Matt Bouldin that resembles Morrison a little bit. They also have a couple of good swingmen in Pargo and Cespedes. Their still waiting on Kansas transfer Micah Dwons to get healthy as well. Come March, this team may be top to bottom better than last years team and will give a lot of teams trouble in the tournament.

I don't know if it's just me but Hansborough has a 'deer in the headlight' look at all times......eyes opened as wide as possible, as well as his mouth. Maybe that's just his expression, but he always looks like he's terrified of something.

One of those times he was on the bench and looked like someone had just shot his puppy.
November 27, 200619 yr Hansbrough is the best big man in the land. He had a horrible game and everyone is ragging on him. Heytvelt (sp?) played the best game of his career. So jump on the bandwagon if needed.
November 27, 200619 yr Good win for the Zags. After losing Morrison to come back and beat the number 2 team in the nation show that Gonzaga has established itself as one of the elite programs in the nation. They established that wayyyyyy before this one. This team is always amongst the best.

November 27, 200619 yr Always is a stretch but since 1998 they have been legit. Well I meant since anyone had heard of Gonzaga except as John Stockton's alma mater. They've been consistantly good since the days of Casey Calvary. Always might be a stretch but they've been good for the better part of a decade. Way better than a lot of traditional powers like UNC (a losing record before Roy got there), Indiana, Louisville, UCLA, Maryland, Cincinnati and Michigan all of which have suffered through a losing and/or NIT season in that span. Again, just talking the last 10 years it isn't an upset when they beat anyone. Perhaps we should pass the Cinderella Crown to Butler, they seem to have earned it. Could they be the next mid-major to make the leap?

Gonzaga has lost their "Cinderella" title.... that ended i'd say about 3 years ago... because they have been consistent in the NCAA tourney and wins every year
