Turns out NKU ended up with a really tough opponent in the NCAA tourney, lol Also, it was suspicious when Brannen tweeted his “thanks to NKU for the great 4 years recently”.... some speculation he was leaving, but nothing ever came from it.... As to the topic, I would looove for Pitino to get hired at UC – it would be such a blast!

As an NKU fan, I don't want to lose JB, but having a head coach that other programs want means our program is in good shape. UC can do a lot worse than hiring JB to lead their program.

NKU should probably start putting some nice buyout clauses in their contract to get some money. Actually does JB have one? Haven't seen anything about that anywhere.
April 11, 20197 yr If Brannen would get the UC job, it will make it very hard for me to continue to dislike them. Also, wonder who NKU would target? Chris Shumate? Luke Murray? Would they go after a guy like Joel Justus? Or how about David Padgett?
April 11, 20197 yr Well Brannen is a top candidate at UC it seems, in the past it seemed there were a few NKU insiders who would have chimed in with information on that. No need to start a new thread about that.
April 11, 20197 yr This name won't make sense to most but I would consider putting former Buckeye Chris Jent on the list of candidates. While he's spent nearly all of his career at the professional level in the NBA, I am curious to see if he would be interested in returning to college coaching as a head coach. He definitely knows X's and O's.
