Everyone knows that this team will eventually hit, but something needs to be done NOW to shake things up. Heck throw the 8 position guys names in a hat and pick them out for your lineup. If someone's ego gets bruised then I guess they are not about the team and can just take a seat and watch.

We have a 30. The Reds have 11 runs this year and the Dodgers have hit 21 Home Runs.

The streak is over!!!! It took another Sub to get is on the board with a Home Run. Reds have three HR and subs have two of them.

Votto with another bone headed base running mistake and he ran into a double play. He is the worst base runner on this team. Sometimes he acts like he has never played before. Reds are not good enough to keep making outs on the base paths.

Not even close. One of the biggest misconceptions in sports is that guys coming off Tommy John surgery are as good or better than before. Most are never as good as they were before. Some do come back very well and I hope he does.

It's nice to see the Reds offense have a heartbeat today.

I'm doubting that they envisioned their star prospect having Tommy John prior to throwing his first pitch in the majors.

 

My point is, Wouldn't we be better off drafting a more well-rounded prospect that could help the overall wellbeing of the ballclub NOW, rather than gamble on a kid that might end up a superstar, but that history says will end up on the DL list.

 

Leave the gambling to the teams who are already strong enough to endure a flame-out.

The other thing I will add about Greene, if he is not able to return as a pitcher, I think he still makes the majors as a hitter. There was actually some debate when he was drafted about whether to let him continue to hit and play in the field. Then they decided to have him focus on pitching only.
