Reds are heading out on the first road trip and they are going to Pittsburgh, even though they just played them at home last week. 4 game series, hoping they get at least 3 of them.

One of my pet peeves about scheduling. No reason for this to happen. We've got two other teams in the division (Cards & Cubs) that we haven't played a first series with. smh.

My biggest pet peeve...taking a home weekend series away vs the Cardinals because they are playing in Mexico leaving no home weekends games the whole month and also taking away a series with a rival.

And with weekday attendance what it is, taking away a weekend series can't exactly be something the front office must be super excited about either.

I'd be curious what they get for giving up home games on a weekend to play in Mexico. You'd have to think the league gives them some type of financial incentive to offset, right?

Mahle is throwing flames so far and the Offense still has not scored.

Yep, another kid pitching his tail off with no support! Our pitchers barely have enough time to get a drink and catch their breath before they have to go back out, maybe we should just take more pitches and hope for walks??

Reds bats silent again tonight as we are shutout again on 6 hits. Just don't understand how anyone can be positive about this team. Just like last year, we come out of spring training with no offense at all to bury our chances in April. Mahle pitched his rear end off and got nothing.

Agree Sumo, 2nd consecutive shutout and 3rd in the last 5 games, scored 6 runs in 45 innings, just pathetic at the plate, not like they’re hitting into hard luck either, just terrible at bat after terrible at bat!

I see that Hunter Green, who was going to lead us to the promised land, but has done nothing to date, is now scheduled for Tommy John surgery and is out for the season. I think we had all hoped that like Don Gullet we might get a couple of seasons out of him before he blew his arm out - Guess not!!!

Another wasted first-round draft choice. This one on an 18 year old wunderkind.
