Let's try this again.

No personal comments and no trash talking.

Mercer Co. 42-14.

Mercer is the obvious choice, but then who needs obvious. I'm going with OC in the biggest upset of the state semis.

Unless O'Cath has figured out a way to stop the run it will be a long night for the Aces. This Mercer team looks to be a lot like the Belfry team that rushed for 2000 yards against them in the 04 state game. I like Edge and hope he finally gets over the hump and gets a ring but it doens't look good for the Aces. Good luck.

Actually, OCath's pass defense is very suspect. They are pretty tough to run against between the tackles and teams have some success to the outside. But their pass defense really needs to improve, not that Mercer throws that much any way.

Wow 2000 yards!!! I know it is a typo, but you are correct. I have often said if there is a such thing as a Tony Franklin School of defense, then the Aces would benefit from it I would hope.

It wasn't a typo but an exaggeration.

Catholic is giving up an average per game of 125 on the ground and 118 through the air. That is through 11 games.

I see Owensboro Catholic coming in with a great game plan and coming out on top in a classic playoff barn burner.

No way OC wins against a running team unless the running team helps them ... I think OC has the kids with talent , need dose of tackling fundamentals - did last year anyway...

Good luck to both teams ... Both are programs with class .... kids reflect coaching ... all 4 left have good programs ...

Still would like to see the scotty again ... live mascots are the best ...

Good luck to both teams.. Here's to a super thanksgiving weekend for everyone and a great game to top it off. Get here early, there is outstanding tailgating and mingling among supporters of both teams behind the east endzone.
