They will be recognized at the NKBBCA Banquet at 1pm on Sunday, March 3rd at Lloyd High School.

Deere.

Hardings ranking surprises me. He’s an excellent all-around player, and maybe one of the most versatile/productive. But, if he ranked top 3, that’s still great.

 

Deere, though... being a top player in the region is about more than scoring. If he averaged 20+ maybe I’d see your point. He averages 13ish.

 

That said, totally agree on the “politics” statement. But, that’s a given.

Congrats to all selected and I’m impressed that for the 4th straight year the defensive POY comes from Cooper.

Harding is POY by who? I didn't see an overall POY listed above. If he was named POY by some other organization, then it isn't an issue with the above. Every group is entitled to their own opinions and there often isn't a consensus pick.

Can’t go wrong with Harding or Sisson. Ben Sisson has grown more than any player I have seen in his years at Highlands. From bit player in middle school to conference player of the year! Some college somewhere is going to get a steal! Great kid, great teammate, and as competitive a player as I have seen. Congrats Mr. Sisson! Looking forward to seeing you in regionals this year!

I love those stories, not the star on the 8th grade team, keeps working and developing, and eventually it all clicks. So happy for him!!

I've seen him play multiple times this season. Hes been a physically dominating player in each game. Congrats to Ben on a fine season.
