Maybe, but I’ve seen Cooper play multiple times and know one player for sure see’s varsity minutes and he’s not a freshman, I believe he’s a junior.

Doesn’t bother me if they bring players down or up. I just think it’s interesting that some new faces were on the floor for a tournament game.

Conner won vs Holmes pretty easily.

Cooper won vs Dixie, pulled away in the 4th.

This will put Conner vs Cooper in the semi-finals at Cov Cath next Saturday. They have split their previous 2 games. This one will be interesting as Cooper has been playing some Varsity players down for this tournament.

Im not sure who won the brackets at Highlands today.

Covington Catholic won by 7 over Campbell County.

Do you have proof? Do you have names?

The only proof I have is when they have played Conner the last two games they had 8-9 players. The games at St. Henry Sports Complex they have 12-13 players. Now, maybe they move up and down I’m not sure. All I know is Conner has had 8 players all year. Dixie was the same today too. When they played Conner they had 8 or 9 players, today they had 12-13.

Again, it doesn’t bother me if they play. I’m just sharing what I have seen. I don’t know their names, they have a nice team. Hopefully it is a good game, Cooper beat Conner pretty good last time they played.

I have seen players who were rostered on the JV team from the beginning of the season, have been allowed to sit the bench for varsity, and are starting to get varsity minutes as the the season progresses. I have seen freshman players who are rostered on the freshman team, have been allowed to sit the bench of JV, and are starting to get JV minutes.

You need to get your facts straight before you start calling out teams that are “bringing down” varsity players for a JV tournament. Coach Sullivan would never go out and try and cheat (which is what you appear to be insinuating) to win a basketball game, let alone a JV tournament. Cooper brought UP 3 freshman players for the tournament who DO NOT play any varsity games and they had one player, a jr, who initially started the season on varsity but got hurt and upon his return has played nothing but JV.

As teams get toward the end of the season younger players who have earned the right to move up to gain experience sometimes get that privilege at most schools. Just because you saw a larger number of players for this tourney than in a regular season game is your issue, not because Varsity players were being brought down.

What are the rules on who can play in the JV tournament? Is there some restriction on players who have played varsity minutes?

Same complaints every year. Anyone but Seniors can play JV.
