January 2, 20197 yr First Bell, now Brown....It's time to admit there's major dysfunction in that locker room. I agree there is a problem.
January 2, 20197 yr I agree there is a problem. Brown is being a baby because Juju took his spot. Brown needs to suck it up before he is replaced like Bell was.
January 2, 20197 yr Not exactly. I had my Steelers Hat on when I made that post. You can't have your head coach and your star player at odds to the point the player misses practice and the coach has to essentially suspend (deactivate him). It is time to part ways. It's certainly not ideal.
January 2, 20197 yr First Bell, now Brown....It's time to admit there's major dysfunction in that locker room. ...and maybe those two were/are the cause of it?
January 2, 20197 yr ...and maybe those two were/are the cause of it? Until we have more information that would be my position.
January 2, 20197 yr I mean, JuJu did have more yards and a better average on fewer targets than AB, so it's not a crazy notion. JuJu had a heck of a season.
January 2, 20197 yr Author I believe the team MVP award was/is voted on by the Steelers players. Here is something on that item which will shock everyone. Ben has been named team MVP only once in his entire career. He led the league in passing this year and still wasn't named team MVP. By the way, Ben Roethlisberger did practice last week and played in the game on Sunday. Edited January 2, 20197 yr by Voice of Reason
January 2, 20197 yr ...and maybe those two were/are the cause of it? To buffer, both statements can be true. 1) Bell and Brown were at the center of recent Steeler turmoil. 2) Tomlin fosters a culture that allows for Bell and Brown to toxify a locker-room.

Tomlin doesn't tolerate hints why Brown did not play Sunday and said he we will fined or punished.

January 2, 20197 yr I think AB is a royal pain in the you know what and is a diva and I really cannot stand his antics but the only way JuJu won the team MVP is that it is a popularity contest. He is not NEARLY as good as AB and his teammates know this. AB is doubled on EVERY play and beats double teams often. If AB is not there next year, Ju Ju is in for a rude awakening getting the attention that AB got.

January 2, 20197 yr Author Do all teams have a player vote for team MVP? It seems like a recipe for problems IMO. I don't know how other teams do it. I heard one of the writers who covers the Steelers talking on it and he said the Steelers have been doing it this way for 50 years. He also agrees with your last sentence that it is something that can create bad feelings on the team and they should probably stop having the players vote on it.
