Antonio Brown - Diva

Some of this was mentioned in the Mike Tomlin thread but I believe this deserves its own thread. Antonio Brown apparently threw a temper tantrum when JuJu Smith-Schuster was named team MVP. Brown blew off the team all week with a must-win game and possible playoff appearance on the line. Brown reportedly would not respond to the team or players who tried to reach out to him. Then he showed up Sunday expecting to play. Mike Tomlin deactivated him since he had not been with the team all week and was unresponsive to the team. Brown also reportedly left the Steelers must-win game at halftime.

I was shocked when he was inactive for such an important game considering he is clearly the best player on the roster.

Then JuJu (who had a great year) getting the MVP brought it into focus for me.

It sounds to me like either Tomlin or Brown need to go and at least based on this one incident I would trade AB.

Him being a diva should be of no surprise to anyone. He's a #1 WR in the NFL, they are likely almost all divas.

But apparently not the #1 WR on his own team according to the Steeler Powers that be. :lol2:

I mean, JuJu did have more yards and a better average on fewer targets than AB, so it's not a crazy notion.

He's asked for a trade, so it sounds like he doesn't want to be there either....:idunno:

A high profile WR who's not getting his way and says the HC sides too much with the QB says he wants a trade? Shocker. :lol2:

That's my point. You'd rather him not play for the Steelers. :lol2:

Not exactly.

I had my Steelers Hat on when I made that post. You can't have your head coach and your star player at odds to the point the player misses practice and the coach has to essentially suspend (deactivate him). It is time to part ways.

First Bell, now Brown....It's time to admit there's major dysfunction in that locker room.

If AB moves on we will see how JuJu does next year when he gets doubled all the time.
