Voice of Reason Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Some of this was mentioned in the Mike Tomlin thread but I believe this deserves its own thread. Antonio Brown apparently threw a temper tantrum when JuJu Smith-Schuster was named team MVP. Brown blew off the team all week with a must-win game and possible playoff appearance on the line. Brown reportedly would not respond to the team or players who tried to reach out to him. Then he showed up Sunday expecting to play. Mike Tomlin deactivated him since he had not been with the team all week and was unresponsive to the team. Brown also reportedly left the Steelers must-win game at halftime.
UK#1fanisback Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Brown is going no where. If traded he will cost the Steelers 21 million toward the cap. 25 million if he stays.
TheDeuce Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Him being a diva should be of no surprise to anyone. He's a #1 WR in the NFL, they are likely almost all divas.

I was shocked when he was inactive for such an important game considering he is clearly the best player on the roster. Then JuJu (who had a great year) getting the MVP brought it into focus for me. It sounds to me like either Tomlin or Brown need to go and at least based on this one incident I would trade AB.

Says the Bengals fan. :lol2:

theguru Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Says the Bengals fan. :lol2: I would love to have AB on my team.
TheDeuce Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 But apparently not the #1 WR on his own team according to the Steeler Powers that be. :lol2: I mean, JuJu did have more yards and a better average on fewer targets than AB, so it's not a crazy notion.
TheDeuce Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 I would love to have AB on my team. That's my point. You'd rather him not play for the Steelers. :lol2:
UKMustangFan Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 He's asked for a trade, so it sounds like he doesn't want to be there either....:idunno:
TheDeuce Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 He's asked for a trade, so it sounds like he doesn't want to be there either....:idunno: A high profile WR who's not getting his way and says the HC sides too much with the QB says he wants a trade? Shocker. :lol2:
theguru Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 That's my point. You'd rather him not play for the Steelers. :lol2: Not exactly. I had my Steelers Hat on when I made that post. You can't have your head coach and your star player at odds to the point the player misses practice and the coach has to essentially suspend (deactivate him). It is time to part ways.
sumoroyal Posted January 2, 2019 Posted January 2, 2019 Just saw where he bought himself a 1000 diamond goat ring. Yes the ring looks like a goat. More like Chad Johnson everyday.
