January 2, 20197 yr I used to frequent The Funny Bone but it closed. It's a good place to park. It moved to Liberty Township and is worth the drive great atmosphere. Everyrhing went down hill when Jefferson Hall moved.
January 2, 20197 yr 90-95% of the time I went to the Levee for AMC theatres. With Wilder and Florence now being nicer and much closer I have little reason to head to Newport. The last time I was there I was a minority and the majority were probably between 11-19. Just not a crowd I care to be around when they're lacking some much needed supervision. If Wilder is now nicer this is good to know. I haven't been there in a long time, but the last time it seemed the place was starting to look tired. Glad to hear they've had a face lift if that's what you're saying. :thumb:

January 2, 20197 yr Now that the Skywheel looks to be staying longer in Cindy, it would be disastrous to put one on the levee as planned.
January 2, 20197 yr I enjoy going to the levee occasionally when the weather is nice. You park, walk the purple people bridge, then go to either Brothers for a beer outside, or grab a coffee at Barnes and Noble and sit on their outside patio. Of course it’s super fun to do a similar outing at the banks... with way better choices for a drink, lol, taste of Belgium, pies and pints, etc.
January 3, 20197 yr Now that the Skywheel looks to be staying longer in Cindy, it would be disastrous to put one on the levee as planned. From what I recall, the Skywheel will be long gone before the big ferris wheel planned at the Levee is built and open.
January 3, 20197 yr Haven’t been there since we took the kids to thr Aquarium and then Build A Bear, which was a nice day 15 years ago. A few of that younger generation that I know have moved to that area recently which made me think it was still up and coming. Sorry to hear because I thought it was doing ok.

January 3, 20197 yr Brios has been sold with a new downsized menu. Its not a good sign when I have to walk back to the kitchen area and tell them how to make Veal Piccata. We go there annually for my dad's (who is in his 90s) birthday dinner, but I'm thinking we may be seeking a new haunt.
January 3, 20197 yr From what I recall, the Skywheel will be long gone before the big ferris wheel planned at the Levee is built and open. I believe that is correct.
