I have no tie-ins to any Louisville school or LexCath and was at the game and St. X could have very easily won by 70. I am sure that over the course of the year the improvement curve for LexCath has been substantially greater than St. X... but if they played again I would still take X by at least 4-5 TD's.

During the season, last year and this year, all you heard about was the X O-line and VA. opponents like T and H will always bring out the best in X, but are they the best the second time around? The worst thing for X is playing a power twice in a season. If they'd played catholic again, they would've gotten beat by at least 2 scores. LexCath was still trying to fine tune its self when they played X.

 

Usually X does very well in rematches (especially ones where they lost the first one). They just didn't execute very well against Male and the Bulldog defense stepped up when they needed to.

True, Male did some different things his time on def. They had some safety play and really blitzed the linebackers outside when lineman pulled, instead of shooting the pull gaps.

You could not be more wrong about a Lex.Cath. rematch with St.X.

I could be wrong but in my opinion this Male team is about as quick and explosive on both sides of the ball as any I have seen in a long time and a tough match for the Tigers or anyone else. If any team has a shot it is T because they have the ability to spread the field on them and take away the agressivness of the D. I don't think St.X was that bad , rather I think Male is that good.

This is where I think Trinity can gain a distinct advantage, running the ball with Petrino and Phillips behind that man coverage. Male needs to play very good pass defense but will also be smart to keep a spy on Phillips or Petrino running the ball. Are there enough defenders on the field? Strange how the athleticism can make up for less than perfect execution though.

Coach Glaser is the king of quotes. In this morning's CJ he was at it again. He stated that "when you go 9-2 and your two losses come to a team with a great chance to win the whole thing, thats alright".

Just like everything else in the media, if taken out of context you can make any statement sound the way you want it to sound. Way to much time has been spent on this subject already.

 

Trinity should have a much more important focus right now, find a way to stop this impressive Male offense and Defense.

Once again.....quit bashing...take the high raod and talk up your program instead of trying to down-grade another....represent your great school with the honor and respect that it deserves....and Trinity is too good to need someone to attack another school's accomplishments or coach to prove itself.
