If anyone has rankings for the 2021 Class in KY, can you please share. I am interested

 

Man you are cracking me up. I just gave you two links and like I said Prephoops.com you have to be a member to see the rankings. But I clearly gave you their rankings on that website (I promise I'm not lying LOL). I've been following the 2021 class since they were 6 years old. I have seen just about everyone in that class play. If your mentioned on three separate websites your probably pretty good. Anyway, I just responded to your initial post because you were questioning why Spencer County got invited to the KOB. I noticed some of your other post seem to put a negative light on Spencer County (you mentioned a possible transfer violation which was a rumor and joke). I think you said something along the lines (i'm not saying their cheating or anything) but you posted it. Not sure what your agenda is but Spencer County should be a worthy opponent at least the next three years. Somebody please help him out with the rankings. I did my best.

Please keep your discussion to your interest in the KOB and this years teams.

Yes sir. I totally agree. Just don't like it when people always have something negative to say. Spencer County fans are super excited to be playing in the KOB. I've been coming and watching since I was a teenager. Now I get to see my favorite team play in it. Can we fastforward to December?

Been to the KBA once when GRC played. Loved it. Great chance to see some very good players and teams. Top notch ran tourney. Loved the French Fries they had. Never seen them served at any other schools or tourneys.Wish others would.

Another good thing about the KOB is that you have access to two games going on simultaneously in the same building about 30 feet apart.

Yes indeed Randy Brady has enrolled at Brentwood Academy. I talked with coach Hubie Smith last night and he confirmed that he is playing withBrentwood Academy this summer.

Love KOB, but it has outgrown Fairdale. That's my only gripe annually.

The King of the Bluegrass is inseparable from Fairdale. It would not exist without tremendous amounts of hard work by lots of people in the Fairdale community. The KOB will never leave Fairdale. And it shouldn't.

I understand what you're saying, but it absolutely could exist away from there. And I'm not suggesting it should move, just pointing out the obvious that the tournament has outgrown Fairdale. That's a good thing for the tournament, not as good for the attendees. It's just something you deal with when you go to KOB. It hasn't kept me from attending in the past and likely won't in the future.

I think the KOB is great where it is, small gym feel, close to some great players, loose rims.... Last year with Cov Cath, Fern Creek, Trinity, and a few other teams, it was great to be in that environment....

 

My only suggestion, maybe a few more fans, it got steamy....

It would be hard for this tournament to exist outside of Fairdale. The KOB put Fairdale on the map for high school basketball. The tradition is what keeps it going...and the community is what keeps the tadition going. Our tradition of highly ranked Kentucky teams and players along with powerhouse teams from outside Kentucky has produced over 450 Divison I players and over 50 NBA, NFL and MLB players. Add to that the numerious State Champions, Mr. Basketballs winners, competition, college coaches in attendance and the hospitility attracts teams from across the nation.

 

This school and this community takes tremendious pride in putting on a first class tournament. Thanks to all who help to make this survive for 38 years...and yes, thank you the fans.

Do Fern Creek and Covington Catholic not return much and weren't invited because of that or did either or both choose to go elsewhere? Just wondering. A great field indeed.

We invited Covington Catholic and they are going to play four Cincinnati schools the week before Christmas. I think they will return to the KOB in 2019...they are a class program.

 

As for Fern Creek...several of the parents were out of control after they won the championship game. One parent was yelling and screaming at our athletic director and another was making comments to our coaches...we don't need that. Enough said.

I won't lump the whole group under the same umbrella, but there were members of Fern Creek's fan section that were an absolute embarrassment during the entire tournament last year. I don't blame KOB for not inviting them back.
