Hazard 15 Pikeville 14

Featured Replies

Watusi,

If my posts are out of line, I apoligize. I feel for the Pikeville fans.

First of all. I haven't said it so congrats Hazard. Be proud of the victory and best of luck.

I have no agenda. I REALLY do like and respect coach Jackson, but I just have to scratch my head over this game and wonder if it really is the offensive scheme.

If the topic is more appropriate for a new thread, perhaps we should create one.

I read yours and CFJ's last posts and both were right on. :thumb:

:thumb: .. I'll save those thoughts for another thread sometime... but for now Hazard should be allowed to enjoy the spoils of the labor.

Ok... I am done.

I have said my peace. I wish the Panther faithful a productive offseason. I only route against Pikeville one time a year.

Good luck Hazard. Do the mountains proud!

I only route against Belfry once a year too... How odd is that? :D

Does anyone have an update about the Hazard player that left the field in a ambulance. The docs on the sideline said it was a neck injury.

The poster you told to cry you a river is a Belfry fan.

Nobody in Pikeville is crying. They have been to the regional champtionship game 16 out of the last 20 years. This is Hazard's first trip in over 20 years. We forgive Hazard fans if they don't know how to act like they've been there before. They haven't.

Things will be back to normal real quick. They always do. ;)

It has not been 20 years it has been 12 years the 94 team lost to Pikeville at Hazard in reg. finals. The 93 dawgs were ranked #1 in state all year and lost to Pikeville in the second round.

I admit Pikeville is a Football school, Hazard is a b-ball school, even with new district next year they will not play in the reg. season next year, I think P-ville will have a hard time beating Hazard the next 2 to 3 years because Hazard is so young, this was supposed to be kind of a rebuilding/learning year for the dawgs.

The injured Hazard player sustained a "stinger". My understanding is he was released to practice Monday.

Thanks for being concerned.

Are you sure that was regional championship??? WYMT reported that it had been 20 years on Sports OT Friday. And I don't think Hazard will beat Pikeville for quite awhile. Pikeville will be foaming at the mouth to play Hazard from now and will have a ton more talent coming up.

Mr. Milam was mistaken a little on sports overtime and I do not know how good Pikeville's fresh. and sopo. classes are but Hazard's are loaded, with them starting about 6 or 7 freshmen and sopo. both ways this year.

Short in coming Keno gone ??? What a GREAT Christmas gift that would be !!!

Ive heard that the school system is taking applicants for the AD job. So Keno is gone, Thank GOD!

LOL... funny enough, I seem to remember Mayo running the wishbone.

...

That would hardly be surprising...

After all, Royce played at Prestonsburg under Coach Haywood.

;)

He told a kid who had quit to get off of his field. He used some salty language. The kid never played for Pikeville and moved away. But it was mostly due to a feud with Keno...

I always wondered what happened there. In any case, it benefitted us because we got our defensive coordinator back.

You won, we lost there bigtime...
