I thought you felt Penn State was "only slightly better"?

"...I'll tell you the truth. I'm a little confused by your tactics..."

You're right 24 days ago I did say that. However 24 days later after thinking about it, and looking at the match up. I think this will be a hard game for my alma mater. Even though UK has a good defense, I think this is one of if not the best offense besides Georgia that they seen this year. Then the Cats offensively. Giving Penn State basically a month to prepare for UKs run offense. I think it's just a touch match up and Penn State wins by 2 tds or more.

It will take UKs qb making some good passes and looking like he did against UL to win. Which I have been a supporter of him all year thinking people were way to down on him and I think he will end up being a very good qb for UK. I just dont know if it happens this game, but I hope he proves me wrong.

I thought on December 3rd, and still do, that this is a bad match-up for UK and they are in trouble. If this is closer than 14 heading into the 4th quarter I'll be very pleasantly surprised.

Isn’t that something how all of these UK fans suddenly have respect for Penn State? The past 2 months, they were just another overrated B10 team.

This is UK’s best team in program history with the entire team dressing, there’s nothing to be afraid of here.

You’re right.

But this is not the best team ever at KY

I think it is but that’s one mans opinion. Josh Allen and Benny Snell are all time greats.

Penn State almost lost to the new UL coach as many people pointed out 4 months ago.

I understand and both are valid points.

Same could be said for Art Still and Derrick Ramsey. :thumb:

Fair enough, good luck to the Cats.

I already stated I think both Penn State and UK are overrated. But nice try.

It’s much deeper than you, it’s when Penn State nearly lost to Appy State and got embarrassed by Michigan. People on here were treating them like an ACC member not named Clemson.

Seeing UK fans and SEC fans as a whole worried about Penn St. is surprising.

I'd say that if you sit back and really really look at it, no matter who the team was, UK fans were going to be somewhat concerned playing in a major bowl game. Teams like Penn State, tOSU, Michigan St etc have all been there. Not only have they been there, they're accustomed to it.

Hell look at every game UK played this year and you can find folks concerned as hell about UK's chances of winning. But in the broad scheme of things, folks did things Penn State didn't live up to the hype. Hard to argue otherwise even with a victory over UK if that were to happen.

I agree with pretty much all of this, except you’ve been around long enough to know the hate for the B10 on here. It’s just ironic to see UK fans and SEC fans on here, tense up against the conference they think is overrated year in, year out. Especially, with one of the best UK teams ever.

I get what you're saying. But I guess I view it a little differently. For that past 15 years the, SEC has been the cream of the crop.

Yes there have been other great teams in other conferences with tOSU being one of them but the SEC has been stable. It definitely fluctuates a great deal with the only true consistent being Alabama and then Georgia at times. However there has also been Florida(Tebow era), LSU and Auburn. Tennessee is the dark horse everyone is waiting to see do something but hasn't figured it out. Then suddenly UK has a great season, it's like Rutgers or Indiana having a great season.

It's hard for fans, no matter their affiliation to not think it's the best conference and often question rankings of other conferences. Hell I completely left out A&M and Mizzou they've also had some good runs during that stretch.

When its season play, you'll always hear the banter and folks saying play in the SEC and see what shows on the field. It doesn't help when one of those Big10 or Big12 teams falls well short of expectations.

However with all of that said, UK fanbase isn't naive, Penn State is a traditional power, "UK is still a basketball school".

Cats D will keep it interesting if the offense struggles, I expect a big game by Benny in his last game as a Wildcat along with the Seniors. Cats by 7.

Yes, the lovely lady, my brother-in-law and me. Thought my mom world go, but it is going to be too much for her. We are in Section 17. I did not know there was goin gto be a BGP tailgate part. Let me know where. We are planning to brig a cooler and do some pregame sammies and drinks.

We are getting in late Monday. So we will be behind in the festivities but hoping to get a good nights sleep and enjoy the atmosphere. We are in section 19 I believe.

Section 214 Row H Seats 13, 14, & 15. We are going over to my son's home in Apopka, New Years Eve. Mrs. S is staying with the grandkids and my son and daughter-in-law are coming to the game with me. Tuesday, we are parking at my daughter-in-law's sister's home. Her husband will drive us to the stadium and we will uber back to there after the game. Saves tons on parking.
