For what it is worth, if passing attempts were equal based on Tua's current ratio of yards and TDs per attempt:

Haskins - 4580 yds, 47 TD

Tau - 5655 yds, 62 TD

Minshew - 4477 yds, 36 TD

Tua - 6988 yds, 77 TD

Murray - 4053 yds, 40 TD

Tua - 3876 yds, 43 TD

And while Murray did have 11 TDs rushing, Tua had 5. I seen the arguement that Murray's yards per attempt is more but it's fairly even at 11.9 vs 11.4.

To me the biggest stat that seperates Tua from Murray is when you look at team defensive effeciency rankings the SEC has 7 teams in the top 20 to the Big 12's one.

So something completely irrelevant to the discussion being had? Why am I not surprised?

Well I didn’t exactly interject it into the Tua/ Kyler debate hence why I made it in a separate post...

In what world is 5 comparable to 11? Haskins is a statue and Tua’s rushing stats are pretty much close to Haskins than Kyler.
Updated Odds (per Oddshark)

Tua: -400

Murray: +300

Grier: +2000

Haskings: +3300

FWIW the odds from Bovada:

-190 Kyler Murray

+150 Tua Tagovailoa

+6000 Dwayne Haskins

I hope Tua doesn’t win it. He’ll be back next year.

With their rushing attempts being 48 vs 123, on average Tua got into the endzone more frequently than Murray. But why would anyone really care whether Tua ever carriers the ball or not. If I was a Bama fan, I'd much rather him hand the ball off to the law firm of Harris, Harris, and Jacobs, any day than tuck it and run himself.

So now Kylers dual threat abilities are being used against him? Good lord. That argument makes zero sense. The fact that he had 123 rushing attempts is now somehow a bad thing? We’re just creating ways to not give Kyler the award now.

I still believe it's Tua, but it will be Murray as a close 2nd.

I would vote for Murray. Speaking of Murray, since he is headed to play for the A’s in about two months what are the chances some NFL team drafts him late in the draft just to have his rights in case he ends up not being able to hit a curveball?

3 Finalists As Expected:

-Tua Tagovailoa QB Alabama

-Kyler Murray QB Oklahoma

-Dwayne Haskins QB Ohio State

First OSU player since 2006, OSU wins, hopefully, Dwayne does as well.

Where do you fall on the Troy Smith/ Dwayne Haskins debate? I think Haskins is the best QB in Ohio State history. But Troy is probably my favorite OSU player ever. I’m conflicted.

Dwayne had the best season of any QB to play in the B10. Troy was a ton of fun, so was Braxton. We’re not use to this Big Ben guy slinging it around. But we’re headed back to it with Tate lol.

Like you said, Haskins is just such a drastic shift from what we’re used to. I love Tate’s potential. He’s electric. But I’m curious what it’s going to look like. If Day is back I have to imagine he’s going to want more autonomy with the playcalling. The last thing I want is to see more JT type playcalling.
