Like you said, Haskins is just such a drastic shift from what we’re used to. I love Tate’s potential. He’s electric. But I’m curious what it’s going to look like. If Day is back I have to imagine he’s going to want more autonomy with the playcalling. The last thing I want is to see more JT type playcalling.

Tate and Day are SUPER tight. It will be fun next year.

Urban seemed to be getting his talking points down to talk Hadkins into staying. During his interview Sunday he said something like that he'd never tell a player what to do, but also said they aren't forgiving at the next level and another year would be good for him.

Haskins is gone. If he comes back great, but he’s going to be the first QB taken in the draft which basically assures him of a top 10 pick. You can’t turn that away. I’d love to have him back and in reality he could still use a year to develop. I just don’t think he will.

I think Urban will talk him into staying for one more shot at the playoffs by selling Haskins that he can improve even more and struggle less when he gets to the NFL.

Cardale lost a lot of money by coming back. Take the guaranteed sum. If he comes back that would be wild, but he’s gotta go.

Urban is a great recruiter. If he gets Haskins to come back it would probably be his greatest recruiting win ever. I hope you’re right.

Great for Urban and fans if he comes back...probably bad decision for him.

100%. It’s sort of like Calipari and his guys. He’d be disingenuous if he asked Haskins to stay because one of the things that attracts players to Ohio State is they put a lot of players in the league and that’s how they recruit. Urban would be walking a fine line with this one. But Haskins does love Ohio State as is referenced by the video they show of him as a kid basically every single game. I don’t think it will be an easy decision, but how the hell could someone turn down that kind of money? I couldn’t. I just always come back to Matt Barkley.
