Anyone do updates or have girls basketball prospects?

I have one that plays that is going to be a good player. There are a handful of others in Western Kentucky but I believe there is more talent in other parts of the state. I know Ashland has another Robinson coming up that is good.

Of note in Western Kentucky from the girls I've seen over the years:

 

8th Grade: Paducah Tilghman - Destiny Thomas (KY premier, dad Rod played for Murray State), Marshall County - Hall (Dan Halls daughter who played for vandy), McCracken County - Caroline Sivills (Dad is Scott who played for Murray State), Paducah Tilghman- Diamond Gray (Mom Stephanie played for Murray State).

 

There are several others that will develop into solid players, but the list above is what stands out to me in the 2023 class. My daughter is in the 2024 class but she has always played against these girls so i'm pretty familiar with them. Actually coached them all at some point other than the Hall girl.

I saw the future of Northern Kentucky Girls Basketball last night. 6th Grade Girls. Turkeyfoot Vs. Conner.

 

These two teams went after each other. Players going back and forth, play after play. Rarely see 6th grade girls play at that advanced level. I would guess there were about (7) 3-pointers. I'm talking dribble moves 3 pointers and step backs into deep 3's.

It was nice to see TF finally tested. In their last 3 games, they gave up a combined 8 points (2,2,4).

Turkeyfoot had the game in hand with about 1:30 left in the 3rd. Then, a couple of costly turnovers, baskets made by Conner, and a few fouls and free throws made it a tie ball game. In the 4th, Turkeyfoot sped themselves up way too much and had difficulty scoring the ball and Conner hit a couple of 15' jumpers and additional free throws. Conner went up by about 8-9 and Turkeyfoot stormed back, but ran out of time and couldn't get any closer than 4 with time running out. Great game by both.

I heard that 6th grade TF is very solid and played a very good game with multiple

Players to keep an eye on down the road-

In 7th grade- i heard this also was a very good game one of which TF should’ve won or easily could’ve won- with that said I did hear that the Colts best player was in foul trouble early and most of game and was a near non factor- I think both teams should be will represented in the year end tourney only to be looking up at Eventual champion (Ballyshannon)!!

Yes, I’ve seen TurkeyFoot and Conner in scrimmages vs Gray 6th grade, very good teams, Highlands was pretty good too

Before I lost today I saw St. Joseph’s of Coldspring play. They’re pretty good too.

Couple of good games in 7th grade girls action last night-

Turkeyfoot over Twenhofel- Two deep teams

Conner over Bally- Snapping Bally/Camp Ernst 2 year win streak.

Any good games going on out there? Any players standing out?
