Duke/Kentucky Updates

If you like one three point shot he put up in the first half, you need to go back and watch tape. I am all for shooters shooting as long as they are taking good shots. Throwing up rushed, off balance threes with a hand in your face is terrible and no shooter makes those shots.

Go back and watch a lot of his shots in the Bahamas. He made the majority of his shots like that. Shots on the run pulling up for a 3 with hand in his face. Shots off the dribble, etc. A lot of those same shots he missed in the first half, he was making in the other games. I will assume he makes them in practice too. Hence why he started and also why he has played a lot tonight. They know those are shots he can make.

Later this year when he is making those shots. No one will say a word about them being bad shots. It will be how they love how he can get his shot off anytime he wants and make it.

You are very mistaken if you think Duke didn’t play way harder than UK that half!!

You are mistaken. Very common for people to think when one team plays better than the other team, that oh its only because they played harder. No team ever when they are making many mistakes, does someone say well they played hard. A team may be playing as hard as they can, but if they are playing horrible. No one ever thinks they are playing hard.

I will. Those are bad shots. If he keeps taking shots like that, he will shoot less than 30% on threes.

Could not agree more, FC if you think these are the same shots you’re way off again, he’s taken 5-6 just TERRIBLE shots, think he took 1 the whole trip in Bahamas

No one thinks a shot is terrible when it goes in. Go back and watch the Bahamas a z watch this. Very similar shots, only difference is they didnt go in tonight.

Agree to disagree. I think we will see him take similar shots all year. Yet they will go in, and people will say well these were better shots. No one ever thinks a shot is bad if it goes in. Even if it's the same shot they just missed.

Its Nov 6. UK only needs to improve by about 50 or 60 points to have a shot at these guys in March

Kentucky will be just fine. In the grand scheme of things this game doesn’t mean anything.

I have to admit, Duke has been so good I have been entertained. Game 1 so it is all good. Cats know how far they have to go to have any hope of playing with this Duke team.

Not common for me, I’ve coached high school basketball for 40 years, UK has played hard 2-3 poss out of 5, problem with that is Duke is playing hard 5 out of 5, very easy to see if you know what to look for

No one, not even Steph Curry, takes crap shots like that and consistently makes them.

And, not every shot that goes in is a good shot. Sometimes you get lucky.

Sit down Cal, you’re about to be down by 40.

Yes, we will disagree. Have you seen Herro take any shots this half like he did the first half?? No, so do you think Cal told him to quit shooting or take good shots, I think the answer to that is pretty obvious!!

This is going down as one of the worst beat downs of Kentucky that I can remember in a long time.
