No KHSAA won’t have anything to say about eligibility. He never played for another school. This is similar to when the kid transferred back to Harrison County after being ruled ineligible at Scott County.

The school doesn’t care and no way their coach will do anything. Kids get to do whatever they want.

I always read on here how good Coach Snapp is, so I’m sure he’ll figure it out in a way that all parties involved will be happy. Though, I’m sure no resolution involving this young man actually playing will make the district and region opponents happy.

Dont know the whole story and honestly dont care. He is back at Newport and will help the team whether Snapp makes him sit out a few games or not. Newport is one of the top 4 teams with him and top 10 without him.

I agree no one deserves a position, they earn that position with hard work and hustle. HSBballfan24 said the young men were committed to the school and working hard TOGETHER to create team chemistry. He did not describe their dedicated participation as "just showing up". I think he meant, how does the rest of the team feel about playing with a teammate who has not exhibited a desire to want to be their teammate? Until he was forced to do so. Good luck to them all for a successful season.

I think the first time he pulls down 15 rebounds, all will be happy.

Word on here was he scored 32 against PC in a scrimmage. I’d say all were happy with that... coach/players included.

Even if there was turmoil at first, Coach Snapp does a great job pulling a team together.

There sure are a lot of assumptions being made here. Who said he did or didn't WANT to come back? Who said he did or didn't WANT to leave? We're talking about a kid here, and not some college-age kid either. Kids are subject to all kinds of advice, decision-makers, guidance, whatever. Unless you know the kid, what makes you so certain he should be punished or even slightly scolded for the events that took place? We sure are judgmental lately.
