Three Vols Arrested After Bar Fight

Tennessee starting running back Arian Foster and two other players were arrested early Sunday after police were called to a fight at a nightclub.

1) Maybe they'll lose their starting RB against UK

2) Why would they be partying at a nightclub after losing?

I thought it had been too quiet in Knoxville on the player behavior front lately...

From the article:

"I'll deal with it swiftly and firmly. ... I do expect to see those guys tonight a little bit later," Fulmer said.

We will see about that.

He probably just means they're out for tomorrows practice.

Idiots...the Great Pumpkin may have lost his team now.

My guess is....

A) They were aggrivated with the loss and a little alcohol and the wrong scene didn't help.

or

B) Someone was trying to run their mouths about UT getting beat by LSU, either way I'm sure both parties involved really regret it, and although one side may be FEELING it more tonight, I'd say it'll effect anothers future alot more down the road..

I think it is funny how everyone gets on Fulmer's case at any turn. The program is much cleaner than Miami/FSU of the 90's and UK during the Mummy era for that matter. The last two years have been rough in the discipline area, but I think that was just a blip on the radar with a class that had some of those tendencies. I am a Vol fan and I think these three should be suspended for the remainder of the season for the simple reason it will show the resolve of the team to maintain discipline on and off the field.

I saw the title and thought this thread was the beginning of a joke...

A little lax if you ask me, but also I do not know all the facts nor do any of us here on BGP.

Foster got the 1st half of the next game.

LOL Classic....but remember Fulmer is the first to run and tell on someone when somebody else breaks the rules!

Am I missing something, did FSU get put on probation in the 90's? Don't act like this is a recent occurance at UT, this dates back to Chester Ford making calls on a University credit card and gunplay at a frat party. Both occurred about 10 years ago.

IMO Fulmer is a great coach in a difficult situation.

The man is expected to bring the best of best in to UT every year.

Would te 120,000 UT fans really be satisfied with a group on "nice guys" who win 7 games a year?

I think Fulmer is lying in bed right now asking the question, "Can I ever Coach a group of solid young men, win the SEC, and satisfy the state of Tennessee?"

He doesn't fight the same fight that UoL and UK share. He certainly doesn;t fight the fight that Auburn and Alabama fight. This guy has the BIGGEST fan base in all of college football. He has to be Rockey Top, win big, AND be a proponent of moral correctness in the US south!

WOW. Good luck Phillip Fulmer!

Tennessee is far from the biggest fan base in college football. Notre Dame, Texas, Michigan, and Ohio State are much, much bigger. Other coaches manage to do it and keep their players off the police blotters for the most part. Once or twice its an anomaly. Fifteen or twenty times means he's more worried about wins than the carnage his boys cause away from the field. He stabbed Johnny Majors in the back to get the job, he turned in Alabama for recruiting violations and he's allowed his team to run amok for the last 10+ years choosing to take a "stand" on the 3rd stringers and walk-ons while "not wanting to give up" on the starts. He has zero credability in my book.

Fulmer is lying in bed wondering why White Castles and Krispy-Kreme's are not served during Haft-Times, and he has to wait until the game is over.
