Probably the biggest free agent name on the board, Bryce Harper.

Cubs are the favorites followed by the Dodgers, Yankees, Phillies, Nationals, Red Sox, Angels and Giants.

Where will Bryce Harper land this offseason?

My random guess is the Cubs.

I agree.

Maybe it's just me, but don't the Cubs need pitching more than another LH power bat?

Yes

I don't see the Red Sox or Yankees as serious contenders for Harper. The Red Sox have more pressing needs than the outfield and have luxury tax concerns. The Yankees aren't likely to want to deal with his drama and aren't likely to commit to another 7-10 year deal after they were saddled with Stanton's contract.

My darkhorse pick is the Phillies.

I agree.

I think we’ll see some combination of Schwarber, Ian Happ, Addison Russell, and Victor Caratini, maybe all 4 moved for pitching. I think the Cubs will either bring in Machado or Harper. I also think they’ll lock up Hamels on a multi year deal or pick up their option on him. All in all the Cubs pitching this year wasn’t that bad when you consider all the injuries.

I would move Schwarber before I'd move Happ. If I was guessing, I'd say the Cubs will move both Schwarber and Addison Russell...

Russell might be non-tendered. He's still got a month of suspension remaining and he was awful last year. His value is really low right now.

I think Caratini as well. Happ is the last I’d move. He’s too versatile and a walk machine (when he doesn’t K). If they go Harper, he’ll be in LF and Happ at 2nd with Baez at SS. If Machado, Happ will be in LF. The Cubs have plenty of options and have made it clear they’re not worried about the luxury tax if they land a stud like Harper. I fully expect them to go after Harper the more I think about it.

0% chance they let him walk. He’s battled personal issues and injuries. His defense is still great. He’s really young and was an All Star SS just 2 years ago. The talent is there. Just gotta get his head right. His poor play coincided with his wife issues.

According to Scott Boras, Bryce has a done deal with a mystery team.

Could be blowing smoke. Could be true. Free agency doesn't start until 10 days after the world series

Well I doubt he'll be resigning with Nationals. Turned down $300,000,000 ten year deal with the club.

I say he signs with Yankees and plays first base.
