The UK O line just got whipped in the 2nd half. Yes the play calling was questionable but the O line had their worst half of football this year. Most notably LG Stenburg. He got whipped and had costly penalties. I hope LT Watkins is okay after his injury. 5-0 though! Go Cats!!

I don't completely disagree, but SC was committing 7 to stop the run also. Hard to block 7 with 5 or even 6.

Anyone heard updates on his injury? He's a big loss if he's out indefinitely or the rest of the season.

U.K. fans should be on top of the world right now. Congrats.

Also thought UKs players were a bit overconfident on offense. Every play it seemed like they and South Carolina’s players had to be separated. Just say to yourselves “we are the better team, just walk away”. Thought the team was playing to the cameras to much and acting completely out of character

 

Love Benny Snell. But his jawing and taunting are not consistent with the premier athlete he is.

Watching the team walk off the field at the half I told my wife they'd play flat in the second half. There was no hustle to get to the locker room, a few players seemed to be playing to the crowd and cameras. Many of them were walking off the field so slow that I could have beat them to the locker room and I have two bad knees.

I agree. I personally can't stand to see players seemingly wanting to inter act with the fans "during the game". Several times during the game, cameras showed players talking with, "high 5's" with fans while play was still happening on the field . I know that I'm old school but I believe that players should pay attention to play on the field.

Another statement type win for this team. I love the intensity and passion that they are playing with. U.K. made statement defensively, especially in the 1st half. Players are going to have more discipline, those PF / late hits, etc. are going to cost them a game sometime.

Trying to protect the lead has cost this team several games over the past few years. I like to call it “Prevent Offense”

Oh for sure, but they weren't even getting 5 blocked. I stated the play calling was questionable so there is blame to go around for that 2nd half.

The thing for UK this year is they have the ATTITUDE that is needed to win games.

Impressive win. This team is a little bit easier for me to root for now that certain players have graduated or moved on. Bennie Snell is a lot of fun to watch. They're going to have to get more out of their passing game down the stretch in the SEC but they should be in every game with a chance to win the rest of the way save Georgia.
