September 26, 20187 yr What candy did you get that you hated as a kid when you went Trick or Treating? Mary Jane and Necco Wafers for me.
September 26, 20187 yr I'll second that on Necco Wafers as I just found them to be rather lame, nor have I ever been a fan of stuff like Sweet Tarts or Pixy Stix. Super sickly sweet/sour stuff that makes my eyes quiver and shut just thinking about them made me just want to barf in a matter of minutes after eating. I was always more excited when something chocolaty or nutty got tossed in my bag. Give me any chocolate bar or Reese's cup all day. I was cool with Mary Janes because of thier nutty flavor. Have always liked Chick-o-Sticks, and found them to one of a kind. I wanted to like Boston Baked Beans because of the peanuts, but just thought that the candy coating just ruined them. If I did go the sweet candy route something like Jolly Ranchers , Good n' Fruity or Tootsie Pops would've been alright. I can nibble on a few candy corn pieces, but ultimately they were bland and made me feel like I was eating candle wax. I didn't care for waxy stuff filled with liquid, or anything with an artificial banana flavor like circus peanuts, nor anything marshmallowy. Tootsie Rolls were sorta alright just because of the chocolaty flavor, but mostly just too much work with getting them stuck in your teeth. Also thought that candy dots on paper was just stupid.
September 26, 20187 yr Candy Corn...and the weird little candies that were wrapped in the orange or black wrapper. I'm not even sure what those were supposed to be.

September 26, 20187 yr Whatever those solid orange or solid black wrapped candies were. They never had a name on them. Dad always took them.
September 26, 20187 yr And to the old lady who lived on 12th street and always gave out her old, stale, unwrapped Christmas Hard Candy and it stuck to everything in the bag, for shame!!
September 26, 20187 yr Mary Jane’s, O’Henry, and Bit O Honey always got thrown in the trash after sitting around until Thanksgiving.
