Beechwood/Dayton, repeat or upset

Featured Replies

Tommy is out for the season. Hopefully, we have two weeks to make adjustments, but it is huge loss for the Tigers.

You know I love the Greendevils and pulling one off would be fantastic for them but lets face facts when playing elite teams in the district.

Dayton made the playoffs by beating Ludlow who had beaten Bellevue.

Against non-district competition the Greendevils also posted some decent wins over Lloyd, Grant Co, Owen Co.

In reality they were beaten soundly by Beechwood 45-12 (trailing 42-6 at the half), by NCC 28-0 in one half, and 24-7 by Holy Cross

So total the first halves up and its an 85-13 deficit when the game was on the line.

Nice season for the Greendevils and going to six classes will help next year as they will no longer have to battle for that 4th spot, but Beechwood has too much.

qryche11 are you kidding me??? When is the last time Beechwood has lost to Dayton in Varsity football? It wont happen this year. Beechwood wins 49-7.

It's about time you jump on the band wagon, thanks!

Hey.....if you can't beat them join them, until next week

I'd like to retract my prediction. :)-

It would be awesome to see Dayton win, but I just do not see it happening BHS by 3 td's

It's playoff time, so Beechwood will go full steam ahead. With that said, Beechwood rolls big 55-13 (two late scores by Dayton will get them on the board).

I think that Dayton is a much better ball club than they have shown in their previous match-ups with Beechwood, Holy Cross and NCC. Coach Lickert has been hiding aspects of the team's offense that will be unveiled in the playoffs against Beechwood. Beechwood struggles to move the ball with the loss of Bankamper and turns to the passing game. Turnovers and a lack of running attack hampers the Tigers and they can't pull it together in time.

Dayton wins a close one with a late turnover and score 14 - 13.

Just kidding.....;) Beechwood by as many as they want.

Repeat.

Repeat, Dayton keeps it close for a quarter.
