August 30, 20188 yr I don't know if I could pick a single "strangest" offhand. Eraserhead and Mullholland Drive aren't surprising to see on the list...I'd agree, basically all of David Lynch's movies are weird Eraserhead was the first thing I thought of. Weird as all get out.
August 30, 20188 yr "One Hour Photo" There was weird video kaleidoscope sequence in the movie that suddenly starts then stops. At that point some guy in the theater asked, "What the hell was that?" The place exploded with laughter. Best part of the movie.
August 30, 20188 yr Perfume: The story of a murderer (2006) Young man in 18th century France kills virgins to extract their scent to create a mind blowing fragrance. Very interesting movie though far-fetched as hell. I actually kind of enjoyed that one personally.
August 30, 20188 yr Clockwork Orange was strange. For me, probably Requiem for a Dream. Requiem For A Dream it's definitely kind of hard to follow and strange, but I always chalk that up to the fact that the movie is, in and of itself, a depiction of the descent into the craziness of complete drug addiction.
August 30, 20188 yr I actually kind of enjoyed that one personally. It really was a decent movie, and I'm a fan of the lead Ben Whishaw who I also liked in the John Keats film Bright Star.
August 30, 20188 yr I think I’ve seen that. Didn’t leave an impression either way. I get what you're saying. It was sort of void of much content beyond what I described and just sorta crawled along more or less being a quiet sleeper. It found a way to be touching though on a couple of levels, and especially with one brother experiencing losing his twin brother, but also becoming free at last since he generally always had to carry him. Just like life sometimes it's a bittersweet trade off where either way you can lose as well as gain something.

A Clockwork Orange is another one I'd put towards the top of the strangest movies I've ever seen. Rocky Horror Picture Show, Jim Jarmusch's Dead Man, Being John Malkovich, and Swiss Army Man are a few more that come to mind. Being John Malkovich is a great addition to this thread. Definitely a strange movie.
August 31, 20188 yr Several that have been mentioned, but my wife has the strangest taste in movies of any person I've ever encountered. I asked her about it and apparently her dad has watched weird movies since she was a kid.
