Sounded like a great game and certainly something for both teams to build on.

These two teams are in the same region in 4A this season. There could very well be another matchup in the playoffs.

John Hardin scores and goes for a 2 point conversion to go up 20-19. Mercer County put together a heck of a drive and was able to get to the 13 yard line of John Hardin. The kicker was short on the field goal.

It was one heck of a game. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season.

Love it!

Tough way to lose. Here's how close they were to getting the win:

Mercer County was up 19-0 early in the 3rd quarter.

88 how did John Hardin turn it around?

John Hardin never struggled to move the ball. They continuously got to the red zone but penalties and turnovers kept them from scoring early on. Once they cleaned up the mistakes it was a different ball game.

I hate this for Mercer County because it was a girl that was kicking that field goal for the win. If she would've hit that I can guarantee she was gonna be named MVP of the game, and that's probably never happened before.

Rough night for the kicker. Missed the EP on the first TD and this FG.

Hope Mercer rebounds from this setback.

Ft Harrod Bowl had some great, competitive games this year.

Hate that Mercer couldn't get the win. Still a great, exciting night of football at Alvis Johnson Field. This is a great venue for football.

You can see both Boyle and Mercer again next Saturday at Boyle County's Rebel Bowl.

The 1st extra point was bad snap/bobbled hold and holder picked it up tried to run. She hit the only extra point she attempted. Mercer went for two on a the other conversion and fumbled into the endzone
