Should the 1A trophy be mailed to Beechwood?

How about Amazon two hour delivery to Fort Mitchell.

Reckon the Khsaa would pay?

That ain't the way it works! :)

Nah, I'd rather receive it in front of family and friends on the field in Lexington with all my team brothers.

Barring injuries Beechwood has to be the prohibitive favorite, but as my old college coach used to say, "they don't play the game on paper"!

No, I don't think the trophy should be mailed to Beechwood. Yes, I think going into the start of the season, Beechwood is at least two touchdowns better than the next best team in 1A. The eastern side of the state does having a few Davids that would love a shot at slaying Goliath, though. IMO Pikeville is the slight favorite to represent that side of the state, at least on paper, to open the season. They return every starter, with the exception of two players, that was a late 4th quarter field goal on the road from playing for the title last year. All that talent will be a year older and a year wiser. I'm sure Raceland and isn't happy with how things ended for them, despite playing in their schools first every title game, and would love another crack at taming the Tigers. Throw Paintsville and Hazard into the mix and one thing is for sure. Whoever comes out of the east to face most likely Beechwood in the state title game, they will be battle tested.

Over the years in my memory about half the time a team is seen as a big favorite they don't win. There will be a really good team from the east in the title game against whoever makes it there from the west. I am sure Beechwood is paying no attention to this talk. There are too many tough teams on the schedule to relax.

Agree 100% Beechwood will take each game one at a time. This coaching staff has been awesome at keeping the boys focused for each and not ever looking ahead no matter what!

If they deliver trophies like they do printer parts, they wont get it.

I guess the Tigers are going to have to earn this one on the field.

Anything is possible but Beechwood is well separated from the rest as of now.

This kind of talk is crow sauce. I hope no one affiliated with the team is thinking like this.

This thread was started by a Hazard fan.....I can guarantee you that nobody affiliated with Beechwood is thinking this way.

Beechwood will beat Simon Kenton this year...Mark it down..

Ask anyone associated with CovCath’s 1992 team about sure thing no brainer preseason/mid season assurances of a guaranteed state title.

Also, consult the KHSAA state game program creators (particularly the person who chose the cover player).

Any given weekend...ya know?

Not a chance anyone affiliated with the team is thinking this way, as I said earlier Beechwood has to be the favorite, but there are so many things that can happen during the regular season....you just don't know. Fun to talk about this time of the year though.
