Heard an interesting tidbit on the radio today. Chris Mack's wife, the former Christy Hester, when she played for Holy Cross her senior year was beaten out for Miss Kentucky Basketball by none other than Jamie Walz, who is the sister of UL's women's coach, Jeff Walz.

That was for the media. The Board of Trustees took over final calls on hiring for athletics after Jurich was forced out and state law says that all business of public boards has to be done in session.

 

Board hasn’t met yet. They are not supposed to have been even informally polled by Postel or Tyra. If they came out and said that the vote was a formality, they’ve fessed up to violations of the state open meetings law.

Great hire by U of L! Hopeful Coach Mack extends an offer to Ricardo Johnson that will allow him to remain on staff. Ricardo works hard and is a great young man & role model for the players.
