March 21, 20188 yr After looking at the past several GFS runs. I can only say maybe. I wouldn't put too much stock in accumulation numbers at the moment for a couple of reasons. 1. In those runs it shows that this thin band of snow has gradually shifted northward. 2. The area of snow will have short a cut off on both the northern and southern side that a shift in the track either way may mean some could get several inches where others won't get any. Saturday is at the very end of the NAM run. It only goes through Saturday afternoon for now and it is showing the snow almost completely missing NKY. So It will be tomorrow before I can get a good read on this weekend's possible snow. Thanks that makes me feel better. Taking a couple of little ones for some activities Saturday and Hate to disappoint them. Even though we make it up, they are too young to understand. LOL
March 21, 20188 yr I'm told that we have 7 inches in our neck of the woods. I can't measure at my house because I am at the top of a hill that gets terrible winds. So, in some places there is almost no snow and in others a foot.
March 21, 20188 yr Author Weather Channel is calling for 8-12 inches of snow for NKY Saturday. As I stated earlier I wouldn't worry about any snow accumulation totals for now. The models are all over the place. The NAM is showing up to an inch. The GFS is now showing 13" and the Canadian 1-3". Won't get a good read until later this evening or tomorrow.
