I posting this because I know we have members who work or live in Southern Indiana. I won't be surprised if warnings are issued for parts of Kentucky.

I'm just not sure how much bread and milk I'm going to need for this event.

I went with steaks and beer. Always a solid choice. Who would want their last meal to be a bread and milk sandwich. I've never understood that lol.

NWS in Louisville reported 8" of snow this morning. There's another snow band set up right over the city right now that they say could drop another 1-2" over the next couple hours.

The interstates were in surprisingly great shape on my way into work this morning.

Thanks for all the heads up info nWo. My ride share and I tried to make it to work today, as nothing of us was a lot better in terms of conditions. We left Louisville at 8am, because we wanted to wait for daylight. By 9am, we had only made it to Floyds Knobs. We turned around and came back to Louisville. After getting dropped off at my car, I finally made it home about 10:30. On my way through Louisville, there were plenty trees and limbs down. One took out the light at Cherokee and Grinstead Dr and had Grinstead closed. We saw plenty of slide offs. I'm glad we decided to turn around.

I just saw that NKY might get 5-8 inches of snow Saturday. Is that true?

After looking at the past several GFS runs. I can only say maybe. I wouldn't put too much stock in accumulation numbers at the moment for a couple of reasons. 1. In those runs it shows that this thin band of snow has gradually shifted northward. 2. The area of snow will have short a cut off on both the northern and southern side that a shift in the track either way may mean some could get several inches where others won't get any.

Saturday is at the very end of the NAM run. It only goes through Saturday afternoon for now and it is showing the snow almost completely missing NKY. So It will be tomorrow before I can get a good read on this weekend's possible snow.
