October 23, 200619 yr Eric Allen is no Ravi Moss, and I haven't even seen him play. Sounds like Carter still struggling with his back to the basket. Trouble feeling double teams, knowing when to look to score or pass out. I never said hed be as good as Ravi Moss. Ive played pickup with both of them. Honestly, Allen can do more offensively in a pickup game. I dont think he does everything else, which is what set Moss apart. Also Moss was a very clutch player.
October 23, 200619 yr I thought Carter still looked rather weak during "madness",we'll see but I just don't think much is on the horizon for JC in '06. Like to hear the other JC is slashing again, I have faith in his perimeter game but he'll be a much better player if he brings that other dimension to the table. Looks like they shot better from the FT line, they'll need to be better there.

Trouble feeling double teams, knowing when to look to score or pass out. I don't remember him saying he was a Ravi Moss. He compared parts of each players game. No harm in that. EA can do more than Ravi can offensively. The effort and desire arent there for EA in terms of D like Ravi had. Those are facts and are hardly saying that Eric is another Ravi. That being said, it is a shame that EA is really just a practice player and as far as I know, unable to dress for games as he isnt classified as a member of the team. A double digit scorer cant make it while Coury can? In regards to the point spot, I think you will see a lineup from time to time involving Jasper, Ramel, and Crawford in at one time on the perimeter spots. Jasper will guard that three spot, but may get the ball in his hands a lot in order to get those guys the ball. It will be good to get Ramel off the ball a little. I look at our roster and like the lineup possibilities we can come with. Big, small, fast, shooters, ballhandlers, etc.
October 23, 200619 yr If the depth isn't good, how can you read how well the top 6 or 7 players played??? You really cant tell much about the teams through Midnight Madness and the Blue/White game. Basically you can look out there and see athleticism and how their shot looks, etc. You cant tell how they will play against elite competition. As for depth I do think this is a deep team that will play atleast 9 or 10 players a game. Barring injury I think depth is there for games. Now practice depth thats another story.

C'mon, if he has to play even remotely the minutes that Ravi played then UK is in major trouble. Moss was clutch as clutch could be in his career for UK. To say he could do more things than Ravi offensively at this juncture is silly-talk. He may be more athletic, and I have played hoop against a many 3:00 All-Americans. It is one thing to say he may have some potential and then in turn ridicule another walk-on in Coury? I think OTS has a handle on the situation.
October 23, 200619 yr Stevenson anybody??? 2 pts, 7 reb, 1 ast, 1 blk, 4 pf. Per the box score found at ukathletics.com
October 23, 200619 yr 2 pts, 7 reb, 1 ast, 1 blk, 4 pf. Per the box score found at ukathletics.com Good to see some rebounds. I may speak for myself, but I think this was one of UK's bigtime weaknesses last year. They have to rebound the basketball.
October 23, 200619 yr Stevenson anybody??? Stevenson had a rediculous block on Ramel Bradley. Bradley was driving to the hole for a lay up right down the middle, Stevenson came out of nowhere and throw it to three point line, where I believe Crawford/Jasper caught it like a QB throwing a TD pass, for the easy dunk on the other end. He has sick athleticism I hope you saw the clip.

He has sick athleticism I hope you saw the clip. Missed out on the whole scrimmage. Sounds awesome though. Athletism was something they were missing out on last year too.

I will see if I can find a clip for ya... he is a human slinky. Just a little thin. He might be the next Kenyon Martin.. or the next Jules Camera. We will see how he develops, but he is that mold.
